  • Oversee staffing patterns to provide adequate coverage for multiple departments

  • Participation in multi-disciplinary conversations to predict adequate discharge for patients

  • Adjusting of treatment plan difficulty to accommodate progression or plateau of patient progress pending medical complexity

Work Projects

  • Development of Wound Care Champions (Spring 2018)

    • Collaborated with other departments (quality, nursing leadership) to determine needs assessment for wound champion program

    • Created wound care resource binder for each hospital unit (in development)

    • Worked with wound care professionals to create outline for learning objectives for wound care champions

    • Recruited & retained employees from each unit to participate in wound care champions

  • Facilitate remodel of Wound Clinic (Fall 2017-Winter 2018)

    • Co-planned wound clinic renovation

    • Assisted with temporary relocation of services for four clinicians for five months

    • Completed needs assessment for new clinic and  ordering of new furniture, supplies, and equipment

    • Facilitated integration of various departments to complete renovation goals (maintenance, environmental services, IT, biomedical services, outside services, etc.)

  • Committee Member for Up Campaign (Fall 2017-Ongoing)

    • Assist in development and implementation of Up Campaign

    • Follow Indiana Hospital Association recommendations for implementation of program

    •  Assist hospital floors to develop protocols for successful implementation- currently in trial period

    • Begin planning for phase three of the UP campaign! (Wake Up)

  • Quality Improvement Project (Fall 2017)

    • Collected random sampling of clinicians' charts to determine if guidelines were being followed

    • Created overall report for hospital administration to view

    • Provided feedback for all clinicians

    • Manage department reports necessary for department improvement projects
